well if we're basing it off the classic Mighty Morphin/Five-Man Band framework

Leader = Red - John

Lancer/Foil = Black - Hal

Tech/Nerd = Blue - Kyle

Heavy/Big Guy = Yellow - Guy

Heart/Chick = Pink - Simon

I would say Jess is the best fit for the Sixth Ranger/Green Ranger archetype due to being Power Ring before becoming an official Green Lantern..

I would say Hal is Red but the kind of Red where he's the supporting protagonist and emotional core without being the direct leader of the team, like Time Force.

Kyle's kind of interesting because his White Lantern upgrade kind of makes him the White Ranger of the team too.

Well that 50th anniversary John Stewart book is out. Everybody on that poster has something coming out mainly tv shows and movies. John would be the only one with a book.

That would mean John is the only one without some kind of media appearance. I just can't see John being on the poster for nothing. But at least John is getting some kind of advertisement being on the Fandom poster. So that looks good. It helps promote the character.

I give props to the new GM that's finally giving the character justice that he deserves.

To add onto that, they could have alignment with the In Space team as well.

Red: Hal is like Andros in that he usually goes off on his own, is the leader sometimes (not so much now), but is still looked at as the symbol of the lanterns
Blue: John reminds me of TJ, he's the leader even though he's not always in the spotlight (basically taking Mega Black's role)
Yellow: Jess, since she's "the girl" of the group like Ashley
Black: Guy (even though black was the leader in the Sentai but wasn't the case in America)
Pink: I guess you could make it purple as a more gender neutral color since Simon takes this slot but idk
Silver: Kyle, since he's been Ion/White Lantern and such

I know not everyone loved that era for John, but I did and still do. Friedman really allowed him to grow (mostly) free of any GLC baggage he'd accumulated at the time.
