Honestly, what purpose has she even served? She was useless in Bendis' Young Justice, and she's been nothing but an annoyance in the current GL book. I've yet to read/see a single panel that makes me say "cool, tell me more!"....

sounds like they wanted to have a GL-like character in a teen book but realized that, no, actually, a real GL doesn't make sense. So they made up stupid ideas until they found one they sort of liked.

Wow, it feels good to see John on that Fandome Poster!

I really hope they will provide new announcements that we haven't heard before. Because I just don't think he's on that poster for no reason.

Well that 50th anniversary John Stewart book is out. Everybody on that poster has something coming out mainly tv shows and movies. John would be the only one with a book.

I was having a hard time finding a screenshot of John from the animated series that I actually liked from Google, so I threw a half-way good shot into Adobe Lightroom and made some edits. I de-aged his face by removing some of the lines, so he looks more like how he would in a Green Lantern prequel series. I also adjusted the colors to look more like the animation in the JLU era.

well if we're basing it off the classic Mighty Morphin/Five-Man Band framework

Leader = Red - John

Lancer/Foil = Black - Hal

Tech/Nerd = Blue - Kyle

Heavy/Big Guy = Yellow - Guy

Heart/Chick = Pink - Simon

I would say Jess is the best fit for the Sixth Ranger/Green Ranger archetype due to being Power Ring before becoming an official Green Lantern..

Huh. That actually works perfect for me. Kyle’s the only odd fit, but given his artistic abilities enhance his ability to use the ring, I think it makes sense.

I mostly agree, but thats why I'm glad that she something else than generic "kid finds/hacks superweapon, wooo" character. So at least there is possibility that she'll be turned into something interesting.

Finished reading the annotations, I love reading stuff like this! It’s always fascinating to read about the behind the scenes work of how comics get made.

Raggashoon' was, yes, a typo that should have been Rashashoon but what's done is done. Luckily I have an in-story fix to make the typo not a typo. Stay tuned.

Hah! Intrigued to see what the fix will be. Any guesses as to who the guy in white is?
