Yeah, it's been saying that for a while. But I think it's still up to WB on whether they want to accept the script or not.

Although the guy said some real nice things about John Stewart in his Celebration of 50 years book, I still don't have confidence on how he would handle John. My biggest fear would be John ending up like a black best friend like what we saw in Green Lantern: Rebirth and that garbage Green Lantern one-shot by Tom King.

The DC Universe Animated Original Movies wiki indicates there's been interest in adapting Sinestro Corps War for a while now.

Thaal's uniform on the cover art indicates that's a possibility at least, but I don't think it would be 1-for1.

I stand corrected.

Johns could not write a good John Stewart story if evil Wayne Brady (Chappelle skit) was his editor.
