Sunfire has not really showed us his true potential. He is very powerful. Hopefully, this will be a good year for Shiro!

If Sunfire goes back to his AoA look, can he please stick with it this time? I'm baffled that he's gone back to what is, IMO, the inferior costume twice now. I'm still not sure how it got undone the last time when he became a being of cosmic energy.

Has his patriotism really been as big a part of his character since he worked for Apocalypse and then Sinister in the post-Decimation days? I think most stories after that had him trying to do more for mutantkind than just Japan in particular.

Shiro’s AOA look (that he had briefly in 616, as a horseman) is still my favorite. His Whice Portacio look had promise, but it was probably too detailed for most artists to want to deal with (I recall Jack of Hearts had similar complaints).

I've always been partial to Sunfire's Earth X look....I just loved his mask

I pretty much cheered on Shiro when he and Thor were blasting that gigantic starship apart in Uncanny Avengers. He's also fought Namor 1-on-1 at weaker levels. He can hang with the big boys and I wish that would be acknowledged more often.

I can see this as becoming an addendum to the Sokovia Accords in the Marvel Cinematic Universe...

..after the MCU Rogue battles the MCU Binary..

..which results in the power level of the MCU Binary being lowered

..with the MCU Binary effectively becoming the MCU Warbird!

ha!...a friend of mine has been going through all the Uncanny/X-Men issues from the beginning and just got to the blue/gold era and asked me about Sunfire's 90's costume

I just told him, "We don't talk about Sunfire's high pony"
