It's complicate because here is the place where I mostly talk about Jean. So if things are mostly negative this is where I share most of these feelings.

Be always positive is simply too shallow

But I saw many positive posts on these last days, so...

I’m not accusing you of anything, but basically some posters are saying certain people by making the same
Negative comments are ruining other people’s enjoyment of this thread and depriving them
Of a place to talk about Jean.

We should also keep in mind all characters tend to go through cycles where they are not used much. Even Wolverine was dead for a while.

Perhaps people just have to accept this just isn’t one of Jean’s top times.

That's what got me back into comics as a near adult after doing the childish thing and putting that stuff down because I didn't want to be seen as a kid.

Honestly, I'm over the rudeness displayed by some in this thread, I've been on these boards for over ten years and I have never once told another poster what they should and shouldn't post in this thread.

However on a daily basis the same few posters post in this thread and many other threads being incredibly argumentative, combative, and attempting to dictate others thoughts, regardless of how many times they are called out for their behavior. We're all different people with varying experiences who just so happen to share a love for Jean that does NOT mean there should be a monopoly on how we feel about her at any given time. Moreover it is gross that the same few will complain across several threads, while directly attacking posters for their opinions, then play holier than thou.

I'm blocking a few of the posters in this thread because I'm tired of their sour demeanor they don't just make this thread miserable they make the overall experience on these boards miserable by always attacking other people for having different opinions, and you know exactly who you are!

What do you think of the OG X-factor?

I love OG X-Factor. It is one of my favorite versions of Jean. Sure there was some messiness -the Maddie fiasco, the constant denials of Phoenix, relationship angst and tears. Jean felt like a complex person who experienced the trauma of waking up and finding the world had changed. She lost her telepathy. She found out about the Phoenix, later about Maddie, the existence of Rachel, her missing sister, etc.

I loved though that the Phoenix retcon was weakened by the events of Inferno. Jean getting the memories and her consciousness that was part of Phoenix was great. I also loved the Apocalypse stuff, the Nanny and Orphan Maker stuff, and even Judgement War lol it was a fun time and a fun book.

I liked that Jean was a powerful tk and that she was messy at times. She later would feel more matured in the 90s as the more denmother esque version of the character. I’m on my phone and suck at texting so I might say more later.
