Her customes are quite random ... Honestly the custom of X-Men Red matches both x force and that of the sword. I would put the phoenix costume in X men 17 to confront the Shiar empire and throw the Marvel girl in the trash

I love, love, love those 2 clips!
In the first, Jean as Phoenix literally throws Gladiator out of Earth orbit and not only into space but back into Shi'ar space!
The second, Jean throws Glads around and she does indeed look like the PF beefed up her muscles.

Like a Red Dragon, The Phoenix shall Soar in 2024!
Man, I have been waiting on Schiti to draw Jean since that one time they found a magic mirror and now the opportunity is being wasted lol
She looks great! I wonder why she's guest-starring on SWORD.
I hope her and Cable get to interact, I'm a big fan of the family stuff.
And I think the costume looks fine, Schiti's art is sooo good so I'll be happy regardless
ugh! Now the 90s costume. I really don't get the taste of those writers and artists...stuck in the past and absolutely out of times.
DAUTERMAN, please save us!
It is random based off of the writer's preference but...makes some sense in a way for these characters to change costumes as the occasion warrants...like Magneto putting on the red suit to fight the Cotati.
It also reminds me that eventhough the era and circumstances has changed so drastically for mutants, and these characters have developed beyond their initial iterations, these are the same characters I've been reading about and loving since the day I picked up my very first XM comic book.
