Speaking of Jean and Hope. I was having a discussion with someone about Immortal X-Men who theorized that Jean, Hope, and the Phoenix are part of a Holy Trinity.

The Phoenix = The Mother

Hope = The Daughter

Jean = The Holy Spirt

Jean was literally a Ghost/Spirit in the White Hot room when Hope was born and her father was never revealed. So maybe Jean impregnated Hope’s mother with the power of the Phoenix.

I just realized that would technically make Hope Jean’s daughter. Not a child of an alternate version of Jean or a clone of Jean, her actual (cosmically conceived) daughter.

Also, in the powers section, of this or any of the handbooks, it never states "unlimited potential" or any other term like "Very high level" or anything else to denote this fact. Someone unaware of Jean and her power would not get the feeling that she is the top in terms of power by reading the Powers section.

Many do, including Claremont with the released 140.5. Rachel is a legitimate child of the Phoenix, Jean, and Scott.

"Telepath of virtually unlimited psychic power" is in her headline in this case. But given the Hope gaffe, set expectations accordingly.
