I agree that she'll be using her TP to link Bobby and Ororo during the electrolysis of the water and the current atmosphere to make the changes. But I also think she'll provide some level of tk shielding as well (although Bobby won't need the shield as he doesn't need to breathe in ice form).

Also I haven't read the issue yet only seen images but I would totally be up for Vita to write Jean, in the one panel posted in the COTA thread Jean and Scott's relationship is more nuanced and reflective of who they are and how they related than anything under Hickman. It feels like she gets them and why their relationship works and I haven't seen any of that in this era.
If people like the typical men are the brain and women are the sensible. I'm oer that kind of chaaracterization, that doesnt help Jean at all

I posted a few pages back a Twitter tweet from Marvel, which confirms that it will be a new world (but by the way the Twitter post was made it sounded more like they were talking for a planet, not another world like Otherworld for example).

Actually, Otherworld is a dimension interwoven throughout the multiverse -- I meant... A "New World" as in a new Earth-XXX reality or a "New World" as in an entirely different Earth-616 planet to populate?

XoS was a liability for most of what Duggan did with the tournament which wasn't anything more than disappointment. Her role in this event was mostly centered towards "Kid" Cable which was cringe and headcanon in itself. Only the first issue with Duggan was somewhat decent but then the tournament kicked off .....

That's fine. The weight of the other issues doesn't make Jean to be good enough as it is the direction(i.e Xos "tournament") in which Duggan was going. It isn't even close to Percy who concluded her status in X-Force solidly (perhaps the best within HiX era) IMO.

It is in the canon universe. It is not an alternative one. It will be within the Earth-616 universe.

He seems uninspired and boring to read, which bothers me if he can pull out a terraforming feat for those four. If it were Hickman, I would have probably believed it but still... it is Duggan.
I have to say I agree, I've read Duggan's Avengers and Marauders isn't exactly what I would call great writing, it is serviceable imo but his writing leaves a lot to be desired there's not a lot of nuance in how he uses his cast nor how his stories develop and ultimately unfold. I personally think an issue like this is better suited for someone with big ideas and the ability to think outside the box sort of like Hickman, Ewing, and Wells.

I'm incredibly intrigued to see some mutant technology between Magneto, Storm, Iceman, and Jean the whole idea just screams intrigue to me. I just hope we get them at the forefront of the issue, way too often issues like these don't exactly focus on the characters they advertise, I would love to read about them just having amazing conversations, while engaging in the badassery of terraforming a planet. But more importantly why don't we have more issues like this when's the last time we had a selection of senior level X-men just engaging in something badass and planetary changing.

I really enjoyed what I've seen posted. Vita did a good job with Jean, and brought a lot of warmth and understanding to Jean's dialogue.
I definitely think this is where things are heading and feels exactly like something Duggan would do, Jean links them all together, Magneto creates a planetary EMP, Storm creates a planetary atmosphere, and Iceman provides one of the foundations of live: water

We will be lucky if she actually gets to use her telekinesis.

I'm afraid we planetary-size Jean Grey fans will be so disappointed in the next months. lol

We're expecting some more omega level feats from Jean (like this GORGEOUS King in Black issue) while Hickman is plotting for supermom and housewives Jean to finally get pregnant, move to Alaska and be entirely codependent with her beloved man Scott.

    hahhahahah Laughed on this pun.

I think the cover and the rumors makes for a lot of hype, but remember that Jean is not a omega TK. So she probably will be only linking minds while Magneto, Storm and Iceman do their jobs.

People are taking too literally with the cover that was shown by Duggan. Last Year we were promised to have X of Swords during the pandemic with this Mark Brooks gorgeous cover. But then it turned out to be evil wannabe Emma Frost show that included Duggan. Not to mention Helfire Gala is gonna be rolled with Maruaders including Emma Frost. I am not gonna vouch on all of these "big" events unless it's Hicks being the only writer in this (alongside Ewing maybe) because they are actually pretty good at these.

I stole the Four idea from the Ororo respect thread and I think this might be purposeful!
