That's... actually a good point lol.

The only one who might be a problem who would be Hope who Rogue doesn't seem to be able to absorb. Rogue already has mimicry so it's more Hope's "bring out max potential" extra power of hers that she'd need but I suppose Rogue could absorb Sage or Cortez to simulate that.

I don't know that Hope would be necessary. Her job is stabilizing the five of them and uniting them all. Rogue being one woman would not really need that step at least if the writer decided it.

Maybe? To be fair, she served a similar purpose in Excalibur when they made a psuedo-five spell so maybe it isn't necessary to add a boost-like power to the entire system.

She does more than just that. She manipulates their powers to boost them up to their peak, stabilizes and then allow them to be used in unison. At normal levels, their powers arent sufficient to do the resurrection process as it is. Hope is the key to perfecting it. Without her, you'd end up with alot of unviable husks, which I imagine would be the case if Rogue only absorbed the 4

Well... Rogue is going to be on the upcoming flagship book. The line ups not bad I think. Iconic characters like Jean, Rogue and Cyclops. Laura - Wolverine the cool kid. Classic character but still rather uncharted in Polaris and Sunfire who had a hot stint on Uncanny Avengers and of course Synch a 90's/Gen X fan fave finally making a big comeback.

Of course there is Rogue once again and her playful (and tough) self.

I kind of miss this Rogue. She grown so much in the last 30 plus years but I still find myself missing her wild and unpredictable personality from the 80's.

I hear you, I love action junkie Rogue! But from the looks of the previews she'll be seeing some action in the new series.

Looking forward to see who she's about to beat down here.

    Im happy for our Roguey.

But... i wanted her with Emma i have obsesion of seeing those two together is like her perfect female friendship that she can get.

Those interactions in X men Black. are more kinda a Thor-Loki relationship

I always think of Storm as being Rogue's closest female friend.

I don't recall Rogue's interactions with Emma that much.

Hopefully not too spoiler-y but nothing except cameos in the first 3 issues of the Hellfire Gala for Rogue.

On the otherhand, some nice variants for X-Men #1.

See Carey run, X men Black and Milligan run.

But more important. X MEN THE END.

I do too. There may be a return to it in this new line-up that they are pushing cuz Remy isn't there and that may have meaning, nothing against him. I like him too. I do believe in character growth but I swear later depictions of seriousness had more to do with making her a "normal" woman. And too much of her natural personality was taken away. Especially 2006 forward...

    Hmmm.

And I see Piotr as her closest male friend. Or once did as they used to be shown together a lot more before Remy/Rogue.

This is definitely a homage to this Jim Lee cover.

Yeah... like others. Kind of sad.
