Well this would be a radical shift. Decades or centuries of years would alter their personality, relationships and pretty much everything about them. Laura and Logan would be different because now he would be a distant memory. All relationships would start anew. Not from zero but perhaps from less then zero as emotional needs have changed.

It would mean a new Laura who now suffers from the detachment and scars usually attributed to an immortal.

She's already distant and aloof. Would longevity make her more distant and aloof?

I can already tell poor Gabby is gonna have it rough. Hopefully they subvert our expectations and still have her play the role of caring older sister even if she has changed.

Probably. The most awkward thing is that everyone went on their lives and didn't even bothered about her being on a vault for months

It feels like a cheap way to radically alter Laura, and I still doubt that the three of them are going to survive this.

Exactly why I'm hoping that they undo all this somehow (pref. not using the replacement clone thing -- bad enough that all the other major characters are now just clone copies of the actual characters).
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."

Well Laura has opened up with those that are her friends and family. She still remains a distant person but these nuances are important and at least for me a big engagement factor. So I would be left very unsure about her if the pretty much threw away all of that and replaced it with decades of Synch and Darwin. Add to that that I have fond memories of Synch.

Well let's see how it plays out.

Just read X-Men #19. Synch is the main star, but Laura really shines in some amazing ways. I highly recommend it!

I also hope she finds a new role on a new team very soon.

    spoilers:
It also ended exactly how I expected: Everyone dies and gets res'ed, and Synch appears to be the only one to retain the memory of the events. Everything is back to status quo with Laura tucked firmly back under Logan's shadow.

I’m kind of glad that Laura wasn’t permanently changed after this because the story was never even told from her perspective. I thought she was cute with Synch in the Vault, but I am not a fan of romances where one partner has all this extra knowledge and has to convince the other person that they were in love at some point.
    end of spoilers

Even though Hickman’s Laura didn’t blow me away I’m hoping she ends up on the new X-Men team.

TBH the whole thing falls flat, and IMO exemplifies the single biggest problem of the Hickman era: An over-reliance on TELLING rather than SHOWING.

    spoilers:
I HATE the data pages. That's four whole pages wasted on charts and graphs that could have been used to SHOW us the relationship developing rather than largely having to rely on Sync's narration to tell us about it. There was no real chemistry or development.

Even in the context of the larger plot, most of what was in that flow chart this issue ended up on-panel, anyway, so what is even the point of them in the first place? Use those pages for ACTUAL CONTENT instead of filler.
    end of spoilers

    Yes, to all of this.

    spoilers:
I have so much mixed feelings about it! The Vault trilogy ending was amazing, Laura sacrificing herself so Synch could provide the intel, at the same time it's a bit sad that we only know outcome for Synch, like I get that it was for the story, but I'm also interested in characters, how they feel, how it changed them, so perhaps one or two more pages would be fine to hear Laura and Darwin voices. Like, we've been waiting a year for that.
Also that outcome is the best we could get, we know popular characters cannot be changed too much. I wouldn't want for Laura to only mostly have vault memories, while she has family waiting for her, so much stuff. Synch was more of a blank card and needed that star boost, I'm happy for him and his fans.
    end of spoilers

On one hand I'd love Laura to be on new X-Men team, but also I'd love even more to have a writer pairing her with a woman this time.

    Well I'm out.
Tell me if Moria dies and timeline gets reset.
    Context is king.

X-23's most basic surface level characteristic that any idiot should grasp: Stoicism.
I don't demand that her every minor appearance be a nuance in-depth examination of her character, but is it to much to ask she be written in Archetype?! This is storytelling 101! If you want people to stay invested in a character, you need to, at the bare minimum, write them such a way that they can plausibly be believed to be the same character!
