Its always funny that DC was against WW being a battle skirt when it looked so much better and it took until a movie to make them give in.

The previous battle skirts were regular ordinary car wash flaps everyone had seen a million times before. The movie's had well designed tiers of panels. The difference was huge.

The first "best" battle skirt design was from Jason Fabok in John's Amazo Virus story back in the Nu52.

New Frontier was my favorite iteration of the idea before the movie/Rebirth one.

Nicola Scott also designed a few battle skirts for Diana over the years:

I feel some of your points work equally well with Circe, but I agree overall The main similarity is that... canonically(in AND out of comics) Circe HAS her own kingdom too! it's just that almost no one ever uses it!!!! Other than that the two are very different.

Yeah that Earth 2 Wonder Woman suit was nice. I especially liked the asymmetrical giant eagle bracelet armguard thing, but the battle skirt was basically just a miniskirt with two slits in it. If we're being perfectly honest, the movie costume is a one piece swimsuit too, it's just a better designed version of one with a skirt attached. You see similar looks in old movies all the time, like Miss Mazeppa in "Gypsy" for instance.

Yeah Nicolas E2 pre-dates Snyders WW but DC still wasnt about letting them make it a default look.
