Silver Swan got a decent-is showing today in Evolution imo. Though like with what Fuzzy Mittens and others brought up, the drama for this incarnation doesn't work when Diana has no relationship comparable to the one she did with the original Vanessa. Felt like Philips was drawing a bit more on that incarnation.

    spoilers:
She has some sort of second "upgraded" form. I get the idea but didn't care for the design

I think she also made off with the Lasso?
    end of spoilers

Felt like Philips was mixing it since Venessa mentions she was in the hospital a lot.

    spoilers:
No, Diana had the lasso later. Venessa snatched it for a second but seems to have let it go.
    end of spoilers

    spoilers:
Yeah her "upgrade" design looks kind-of lazy to me. If she keeps upgrading (since Philips said she will be a reoccurring antagonist) that would be cool, but not a fan of her covering her head in triangles.
    end of spoilers

This is from Robinson's run. Diana was visiting Vanessa a lot at first, but because of her other duties as Wonder Woman, she visited her less and less. Hence some of SS's dialogue about being abandoned by Diana. The nanites she mentions is from the Robinson story because they were to help her walk again which was an experimental medical procedure based on Cyborg.

Yea, interactions felt more like the ones between Diana and the original Vanessa Swan.

    spoilers:
Yeah, looked a bit more like what I'd expect a henchmen/mook of Silver Swan to wear. Hopefully it's not her last upgrade/"evolution" if she'll be re-occuring
    end of spoilers

Not a Mormon, but I must be getting prudish in my old age because that cover didn't bother me when it was issued. Now I think it's tacky as hell. DC should be ashamed. Diana deserves better than Real Housewives of NJ, too. Unless it's a for comedy issue. LOL A moment such as this on the cover could have been depicted without the titillation. Pun intended.

“You see…the rest of them are soldiers. But [Wonder Woman] is an artist.”

I only support the made of clay origin.

I got nothing but Rebirth Swan from this issue. I didn't see even a glimpse of Vanessa from post-Crisis.

I didn't hate her upgraded look. I think it could be pretty cool if she becomes more like a silver-clad harpy when she 'powers up'.

That's fair, I've not gone back to Robinson's run since I peace'd out of that run by that time so I might just be filling in the details from post-Crisis or Bloodlines.

Is it shallow if I say my favorite part about the Robison run was Silver Swan beating the absolute snot out of Jason…twice.

I doubt you are alone in that.

Man, I'm glad "Diana's twin brother" went off like a led balloon.

I have to admit that there's something very...Porn Awards Show Red Carpet about the illustration.

I am glad I am not the only one. I never cared for JG Jones's depiction of Diana, especially when he draws her in costume. He always draws her with the costume top barely containing her chest and her bottom barely covering her crotch. It seems so...tacky. I do love, however his iconic The Hiketeia cover. Has he ever drawn Ares? I like his technique (painting like?) though. I'd love to see Diana's rogues illustrated by him.
