So according to this report from newsarama, Arthur is apparently going into semi-retirement and letting Jackson be Aquaman so that he can raise Andy....so basically kind of what happened in the Young Justice cartoon in season 3 (Kaldur took over so that Arthur could be a better King, Father, and Husband).

"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
Words to live by.
Sidekick for, like, a year and then jumping straight to main hero status. Jackson moves quickly .
I don't think Arthur needs Batman's help to train his protege. Why does it always default to Batman?
I guess retiring so you can take care of your kid is reasonable...although I don't think he absolutely had to, and it doesn't seem like it sticks going by that upcoming mini with Green Arrow.
Think I finally get what’s off putting beyond just the art style: this is leaning hard into “Aquaman sure is a joke isn’t he lol” attitude which clashes with how the movie sincerely embraced him as cool. Makes it feel jarring given the two are supposedly in the same universe.
For when my rants on the forums just aren’t enough: https://thevindicativevordan.tumblr.com/
I...I don't know what to say.
I'm surprised Black Manta isn't in this.
Ram V’s Arthur is sooooo good. Also, I wouldn’t mind him making a permanent switch to JLD for a bit.
