What's considered by Aquaman fans to be the best run after Peter David's?

For me, it would be a tie between the Pfeifer/Arcudi Sub-Diego era, or Shaun McLaughlin's short (but highly underrated) 1991-1992 run.

That's a cool pic. Has anyone seen this film? How is Aquaman portrayed?

spoilers:

In this movie Aquaman seems pretty affable at first (even makes a pun about changing the tide), then you learn he was brainwashed by his advisor (this movies version of psycho pirate) into supporting nazis (even actually says heil Hitler at one point). In the third act, he uses army and sea monsters to attack the surface. At the end of the movie Wonder Woman manages to break him out of the mind control and when he realizes, what he has done, he immediately calls off the attack and retreats back into the sea. He has some awesome fight scene though. He is fighting Wonder woman on more than one occasion and he is shown as very strong and very skilled warrior.

Usually it's just Black Manta and Ocean Master teaming-up.
