I like to think that there was a serial vandal whose modus operandi was to throw animals into the dens of rich people, just to see what would happen. Surprisingly, at least two of them decided to put on goofy costumes and fight crime.

Great character with one of the Golden Age's best costume designs. I've always wondered, was he comics' first disabled superhero? I always assumed so, but have never known for sure.
