With Mia Dearden living up to her name (she's MIA, lol), it's not surprising they used Emiko for this. What is surprising is that this exists at all - I'd expected Stargirl to simply be back with the JSA.

On some level I felt like Emiko should've just been Speedy, because she basically is, but on another level I was hoping this would leave the door open for Mia coming back...

She was reintroduced in the Green Arrow New 52 book, that was horrible before and after Jeff Lemire's run.
But she was soon after forgotten.

My guess, since Infinite Frontier is making a big point of his return I’m going with Shilo Norman. I’ve been told he’s been on a past version of the team so wouldn’t be too weird.

I think DC is trying to move away from just throwing ongoings at characters, in favor of minis and limited series so they can have more varied (and actually complete) stories.

Like it matters! A person can be on a team while also doing solo stuff. I'm actually wondering how Ollie drags Emiko into this when she's supposed to be at Teen Titans Academy.

A person can also be on more then one team as well as a solo and in minis (just ask Wolverine) but that's not the point.
