is Beastman taken?
Changeling for me sounds even smaller than Beast Boy. It probably meant to sound like Earthling, Halfling, or that Changeling itself mythologically refer to switched elf baby but my first thought was Youngling.
That's one reason why some people think Marvel's Hulkling needs a new name, because it sounds like a youngling. Teddy Altman when he debuted was pretending to be a teenage Hulk, hence the Hulk part of his name, when he's actually a Skrull/Kree hybrid and the son of Marvel's first Captain Marvel, which I guess explains the -ling part as that description would make him a Halfling.
In answer to your question, no, DC doesn't have a Beast Man. Closest I found on the wiki was a silver age group of Wonder Woman villains called Beast Men.

Gar could always take up his Kingdom Come name of Menagerie.

I would go with the Beast, Beast Untitled, Green Beast, King Animal, or King Green.
Beast would be out for the same reasons as Beastman.
Maybe he should be 'Beastie Man'. :P
