It seems to me like Sheridan is taking time out arc by arc to let us get to know these kids and in order to sort of set up for the future. I'm surprised that it's working.

The Gorilla Gregg arc, especially the last issue, was actually really good. It, ironically, gave some humanity to Grodd through Gregg. And that last page? Perfection.

I think he's done with #12 based on how he worded some of his recent tweets but whatever happens after #12 sounds like its going to make some alterations to the academy.
