I seriously need this book to drop the Academy and the kids and focus on the grown up Titans. Apologies for anyone who likes the book, but I just cant get into them.
DC: Dick Grayson, Wally West, Donna Troy, Yara Flor, Titans
Some of my favorite Mangas: One Piece, Slam Dunk, Fullmetal Alchemist, HunterXHunter, Vinland Saga, Monster, Berserk, Vagabond.
Current reading: Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Spy X Family, Kaiju Nș8, Blue Lock, Dandadan.
I keep telling myself that Sheridan would leave the book around issue 12 and then we'll get a new writer.
But seriously, for a writer that said multiple times that he's a big Nightwing and NTT fan, Sheridan mostly made them feel irrelevant or even old and focused way too much on the new and not very interesting new characters.
I'm torn between thinking using this exact line up would be a step backwards for the Titans franchise that has trouble moving in new directions, and really wanting the line up as well because the Titans never feels like the Titans without these exact characters in it.
An animated series would be preferable though.
Justice League Queer has a story in the DC Tis The Season to be Freezin special, and it includes, among others, Crush, Aqualad, Bunker, and Traci 13.

True, but the book isn't a great success, to put it mildly.
TTA debuted as one of DC's top-sellers, surpassing new books like Batman Urban legends. As of August, the book struggled to stay at the top 100 selling comics of the month and sell 30k by issue 6.
The potential for better sales is there. Nightwing solo alone is about 50k right now, and Donna, Cyborg, BB, Kory, and Roy all have fans.
There is definitely more potential here than in the new kids.
We also see that YA graphic novels like "Beast boy loves Raven" are New York Times bestsellers and amongst the top-selling graphic novels on Amazon even months after they were released, so it's not that people aren't interested in the Titans franchise.
The Strange Academy kids might lack staying power, but their book is far more enjoyable than Titans Academy and the cast is more interesting. The teachers have less focus than the kids, but aren't treated as jokes or irrelevant when they show up.
Avengers Academy had staying power, but the editorial went full clown and threw away all that potential for Avengers Arena(or whatever that awful storyline was where Marvel killed off a bunch of teen/ YA heroes at the hands of... I forgot who orchestrated that debacle. I think it was Arcade?)
X Men students get cameos on Krakoa.
Ya, its the baby legs and his big head.
