I feel like the first issue came out ages ago but it was only October.

I prefer that Batgirl costume to the Redondo design.

Same. I'm saving this to read in one go but it feels likes ages since the last part.

I just had a quick Google and couldn't see that part 4 is even solicited yet.
"Has Sariel summoned you here, Azrael? Have you come to witness the miracle of your brethren arriving on Earth?"

"I WILL MIX THE ASHES OF YOUR BONES WITH SALT AND USE THEM TO ENSURE THE EARTH THE TEMPLARS TILLED NEVER BEARS FRUIT AGAIN!"

"*sigh* I hoped it was for the miracle."

Dan Watters' Azrael was incredible, a constant delight and perhaps too good for this world (but not the Forth). For the love of St. Dumas, DC, give us more!!!

    It's a 3 part mini-series so that makes sense.

No, it's a four part mini.

I'm really liking this series but, yeah, it reads like it would work better as a full book instead in increments. Kinda got our hopes up with the GL ring. And the callbacks to other characters in shirts and whatnot are really good. The Superman one was funny.

Great second issue, really enjoying the series so far.
Both writing and art are on point and it's refreshing to see these characters beyond more than their costumes/"gimmicks".

That said, my one complaint is with the "police state" backdrop. Whether it's a result of the sour taste left by future state/magistrate or just this particular trope being tiresome - I could do without it.
Thankfully it's not too prominent and hopefully it remains a background feature.

I'm loving the series. This is one of those things that would make for a great movie, animated dtv, or series.

I'm assuming Ivy looks so youthful due to her planet ways.

It was well worth the wait, I'm always a bit skeptical when artists turn writer/artists but this book is seriously the best thing DC is putting out right now. The art is of course stunning but the character moments are so perfect.

I'm sure his stint as an editor at Vertigo helped and he does have that co-writing credit on Doctor 13: Architecture and Morality.

I can totally see this becoming an animated movie down the line.
