Zeus looks like he could be Diana's fathers age and he's in the same immortal boat.

The live action projects recognized how weird it would be for Diana to call a woman who looks the same age as her "mother" regardless of her immortality. That weirdness just translates to the comics for me as well.

Well art and live action are two different things. Hera or Athena doesn’t seem to look older. Only Zeus and his brothers only really seem to look elderly.

Hera and Athena aren't the protag's mother. (Hera should look Zeus's age TBH.)

I think it also sends a better message to have a middle age looking woman as a superhero, and who better than Hippolyta, but that's a whole other topic.

It's weird to me, live action or otherwise, to have two women who appear the same age talking to each other and one calls the other "Mother". Especially if you are a newer reader and don't know who Hippolyta is, you're going to be really confused.

I would pick Carolyn Jones as my favorite from the tv show & what Connie Neilson has done with her on the big screen has elevated Hippolyta to a whole new level!

I enjoy the relationship with Wildcat (it makes it clear the Queen of the Amazons doesn't hate men, quite the contrary) but how does everyone feel about Hippolyta and Black Adam flirting in JL? I think they make a good match as long as he's not being evil and it makes me wonder what their offspring would be like.

Not a fan. Seems to me like the amazons should be basically a society made up of lesbian women or a most bisexual, and their queen should definitely be solely lesbian and not bisexual. I mean, I'm not gonna get pissy about it, but I just wish DC had guts and allowed these women to be gay. Who the hell is gonna complain about it?

I don't read JL that much, so I can't really say anything on it beyond what's been told to me, but I can't say I'm a fan immediately of her being paired off with Adam if that's the plan. Though I guess I could see her having something with the more anti-hero version of modern Black Adam.
