I know she's not, but i like to think of Wonder Tot as the " Batmite" or "Mr Mxy...whatever" of Diana's world. From another Earth, she magically allowed for adventures with Hippolyta, Diana, teen Diana, and herself ( alt workd Baby Diana) to happen

I think you've mentioned that idea before and I'm starting to grow fond of it. What exactly would you do with her?

One forgotten fact these days is that Hippolyta made Diana's suit:




-Hippolyta sculpted Diana from clay.
-Hippolyta made Diana's suit.

Conclusion: Hippolyta is an artist. The stars and stripes could be explained away as either Hippolyta being in Man's World during WW2 or inspired by Steve Trevor's medals.

That panel doesn't actually say she designed the costume , just that it was prepared, with the lasso, under the direction of Aphrodite. The lasso was created by another Amazon in this instance...

That being said, i thought there is mention of the costume being created by Hippolyta. I know it's mentioned in the TV show, and that was fairly accurate to the comics early on.

I haven't given it a great deal of thought...lol. i just like the idea. It makes sense to me, as Bats and Kal had their own imps, so why not Diana? Like , maybe she remains an infant on her Earth. And either she has magical powers, or Mr Genie grants her powers. But they're both from an Earth different than Earth 1, but they come to E1 to meet and have adventures with the adult and teen versions of herself that she longs to be?

Or maybe all we need to know is that she and genie come to this Earth and create the Impossible Tales out of a sense of fun and mischief. It makes more sense that how thosevstories were explained...lola

In All Star Comics #8 it is more explicitly stated to be designed by Hippolyta:




The scans on the previous post is from Wonder Woman #1 which was a retelling of her origin story Marston where some details were changed. I agree the second take is a bit more ambiguous as it stated that the costume and lasso were prepared under Aphrodite's guidance but doesn't mention who did the preparing. It could have been Hippolyta or it could have been another Amazon.

The amusing thing about Hippolyta’s line from All-Star #8, “let yourself be known as Diana”, is that it implies Hippolyta didn’t give her daughter a name until then.

I always wondered if Hippolyta ever saw Diana in her "work clothes"! Now I know she did. Thanks for posting those panels.

Hippolyta's pen is so extra though and she even desk work while decked out in jewelry including a neck choker.
