Everyone else one the Squadron Supreme are clear parodies but look real different.

I guess Marvel realized how much Zarda really looks like Diana, except taller (6'8").

Her hair, eyes and body type looking like Diana wasn't so bad since she always wore a helmet or large head piece as opposed to a tiara.

But now it's just Nu52 Diana with a color swap on the costume...

What is everyone's preferences for Hippolyta's hair, blonde or brunette? Or fine either way?

I like the way brunette Hippolyta is drawn by Jimenez and Perez, but I think in general I like her better blonde (and with white and gold color schemes for her costumes). It may be down to the DCAU and pre-Crisis NTT issues she guest starred in being my first exposure to her before I read any WW comics proper. I also like it when she looks more visually distinct from Diana; artists like Jimenez and Perez can make you tell the difference between the two, but some just make them look generically similar, almost like twins.

My biggest problem when people draw Hippolyta is when they make her look like Diana, not just structurally but age wise too. (You can give her a wrinkle artists).

Black hair if only because my preferred WW artists also draw her with black hair.

I also tend to associate blonde Hippolyta with daddy Zeus, so there’s that.

That ones fair lol. It looks like blonde Hippolyta always draws the short straw in that regard (Hades in the DCAU, Zeus again in the DCEU).

I don’t mind it in the DCEU since Neilson’s a good adaptation of Hippolyta imo.

Thundra was always my favorite Wonder Woman analogue from Marvel anyway, her look is far less derivative.
