I think that’s a really good lineup, just add Aquaman!

I think it's a great line-up. Mera is standing in for Aquaman. Have to say I really don't care much for Hawkgirl. IMHO, Zatanna would be a better replacement for her. But I'm fine with this line-up. Great team.

Nah! Hawkgirl is more iconic than Zatanna and is a good foil for Diana! Loved their dynamic in the animated series.

As far as iconic JL female members it goes:

1) Wonder Woman
2) Hawkgirl
3) Black Canary
4) Zatanna
5) Vixen

I read the trade for Robert Venditti's JL run and I thought it was pretty solid as far as a fill-in is concerned.

John applying his military knowledge to the group was pretty neat even if it feels like the leader of the League ends up being whoever starts shouting orders.

Wonder Woman was too much of a sword-swinging Xena-type but I feel like Venditti was just writing as generic a Wonder Woman as he possibly could. The depiction of the Amazons was pretty off-base with their modern incarnation though.

Barry didn't feel too much like Wally here...although he was also kind of off in the first few issues. Was Venditti trying to build off of his troubles with the Speed Force in his own comic?
