Is Nate Grey going to feature in any upcoming comics? He's kinda forgotten at the moment, any plans for him?
Not that I’m aware of, no.
It would be nice if he met Madelyne Pryor again. Be nice to see what he thinks of her return. Or for that matter if he met teen Jean.
X-POSITION: Nicieza Returns to the All-New "Age Of Apocalypse"
Fabian! So excited that two of my favorite things are uniting: the Age of Apocalypse and your writing! I really loved your '90s work on "Cable" and "X-Force," and your incarnation of Cable is by far my favorite. That being said, is it too much to hope for a huge role for X-Man (Nate Grey) in your upcoming "AoA" Battleworld series?
Is it too much to hope for, Andrew? No. No, it is not. But maybe it's too much to expect.
From Marvel's panel at SDCC apparently Cullen Bunn originally had Nate Grey on his Uncanny X-men roster but ended up on the cutting room floor. I feel bad for you nate fans because Bunn came so close to putting him on a major Xmen title.
The conversation then shifted to how the X-teams were formed. Alonso said that he started with Lemire, and at the writer's first retreat the "Extraordinary" talks solidified. "Magneto" got Bunn on Alonso's radar. With Lemire on the core book, he got the first pick of characters to build around. Hopeless' situation was different, as he's inheriting a cast from a pre-existing book.
"Jeff took Nightcrawler and wouldn't give him up," said Bunn. "I knew Jeff's team and the book I was putting together and roster kept changing. One of my rosters at one time had Rachel Grey and Nate Grey on it because I love both those characters. But I really wanted to do a book that could easily be differentiated from what Jeff's doing. This was the team, where we landed with Magneto and this group, these are two different X-books that show different sides of the world."
Nate's spotlight over on UXN was updated by yours truly. Check it out.
