Luke would probably be an overly-teched out "fun" Batman.

Terry? I mean, his dad's death drove him to be Batman but he still had his mom and little brother (as well as his genetic dad).

Terry's familial connection wasn't utilized to a strong enough degree in the show. Not for me to say it'd count. I wish it were stronger, but it wasn't. (Matt being geared toward Robin Beyond not happening or even being considered/hinted at was always something I felt to be a big miss opportunity.)

Plus, he was still motivated by his dad's death, too, as you pointed out.

Both Dick and Terry are the fun Batman. I don't know about Luke.

Specifically Terry is the Spider-Man Batman, while Dick is the Performer Batman who can and will pretend to be dark and scary when he needs to. Terry has no such baggage since he doesn't have to pretend to be Bruce.

Alright so let me see from this what I got right: Jace is very much a trained black ops mercenary, and Vol is squadmate who feeds him info. So I guess when Jace became Batman he brought Vol with him.

I’m sharing this preview because John Ridley’s telling a Jace story where he has sidekick. One interesting thing to note from the art is that I honestly really like that it looks like Coipel took the Next Batman variant cover (the shattered mask one) and made it into a story here.
