1000 books in 2021

Happy new year once again everyone and welcome to year 7 (Seven??? Wow!) of the 1000 books challenge!

The goal, just like in the previous years, is to read at least a 1000 comic book issues in the coming 365 days, starting today!

Keep us updated of your progress and if you fancy write a few lines about what you've read, what you liked and disliked, just to keep things interesting and informative (even if you just pick your favorite and least favorite of your batch).

Usually a 22 pages comic counts as one issue, in case of other formats (Euro comics, manga, etc) just divide the page count with 22. That said, if you feel like your 48 pages long French album is really wordy and takes just as long to read as a 120pg american tpb, then feel free to count it as 3 or even 5 issues, nobody gonna shout at you, it's all for fun.

Feel free to adjust the volume of the challenge depending on your circumstances. If you think you can only manage to read 300 issues this year, you are still more then welcome to participate. Same if you think you will read way more than a 1000 issues.

I am looking forward to taking part this year. I managed it in 2019 but in 2020 my comp crashed and I lost my list and lost count of what I had read. So this year I am back with a better system and going to crush my total. I am off to a good start. Since I have nothing to do today I am reading all kinds of comics. Walking Dead and early Marvel. I have 15 done for the day so far

Wow somehow did even worse than 2019 last year!! Have to chalk it up to kids getting older and a shifted work scheduled that necessitated an earlier bed time, so I have a lot less time to read. I have also been reading mostly classic material so the time to read each issue is longer.

First attempt last year, fell shy of 1,000 but happy with what I read all things considered. Back for more and look forward to reading your posts.
One thing I'm going to be aiming for this year is less binging weeks apart and more daily reading, even if it's only 1 issue.
That's the intention at least, let's see what reality has to say about that
