My favorite version of Iron Man will always be the JRJR/Layton/Michelinie version (September, 1979):

Iron Man and Doom make unlikely duo.

Wanting to give Fractions full run a go. Think I read up to #500 and stopped last time. I think it’s undisputed that the first 25 issues are his best, but is the rest of it good?
Worlds Most Wanted and Disassembled are probably my favourite modern Iron-Man comics.

I enjoyed the entire run. I would give the rest of it a try if I were you. Unfixable is a really good story.

I think it's worth getting. I agree the first half is just excellent, the entire run is still a must read.

    Issue 5 preview:
    https://aiptcomics.com/2020/12/31/ma...ew-iron-man-5/

    Looks promising.
But, been trying to like the series and so far, 4 issues in, I find the the book just "there".
Like I can't even say what the story is really about or what the overarching direction is. Makes it difficult to recommend Cantwell's run to people.
Comparing it to Ellis', Fraction's and Knauf's runs (my personel yardsticks for good Iron Man stories), each of them had, by their 4th issue, established the "bigger picture" storyline.
Perhaps I've missed something along the way.
    Least the art is nice.

Thanks for the preview. So far I have enjoyed every issue that Cantwell and CAFU have done. They are building this story to just get bigger and more epic in scale. I can’t wait to get today’s issue and see what happens with this team Tony has put together.

I just hope that last-page cliffhanger is a fake-out for suspense, because that is an interesting team Tony put together this issue.

They should call themselves The Expendables.
