The first criteria for women's fashion in superhero comics before ~2014...
Let's not pretend artists weren't horndogs before or after, shall we?

Bob didn't ask me for a character sketch [for the Black Canary]. He had a lot of respect for me, I must say that. He always trusted my work... Bob loved my Black Canary design.
We all love your Black Canary design, Carmine. We all do. Rest easy.
I don't know how the Bana work these days, in this scrapbook patchwork continuity...lol but post Crisis, she was a mortal. Once the Bana were put on Themyscira, i think they also became immortal, as long as they remained on the island..... so that version might have aged as slowly as Diana while in the outside world.
Was it Byrne who made Artemis 14 before Circe sent the Bana and Themyscirans to another dimension for 10 years to fight demons and when they returned Artemis was an adult, or was that Messner-Loebs' doing? I don't remember.
