Zatanna Zatara: Mistress of Magic Appreciation 2021

I'm excited for Zatanna's arc in Young justice. This might be the first time she'll get so much attention. I wanna see some good creative use of her magic.

I hope they don't introduce Zachary. I hated it when Geoff Johns introduced him in the comics. Zee had no family after her father died and it had been so for a very long time but all of a sudden we get Zach and then this scene makes no sense.

I think so far YJ Zatanna is pretty creative using her spell. Big battle that she steal the spotlight and win the day is more about using creative tricks or wit that exploiting enemy weakness or strength like forcing Billy to blurt out Shazam, mirroring Despero third eye back to him, using Fate order magic to suprise/neutered Klarion chaos magic. I kinda hope she using more offensive spells

Isn't that from one of the books that dealt with the fall out from Identity Crisis? I personally wouldn't mind anything tied to that dreck being ignored. >_>

I like Zachary, a female hero with a male side kick is very rare and I think the fact that Zee lost her family and has to keep an eye out for for her younger cousin makes for interesting drama.



Probably because we haven't gotten to the Future State yet? The look is growing on me but unless it's a future apocalyptic wasteland there is no reason for her cloak-hoodie thing to have tattered ends.



I think the current look can work if they change the color scheme plus the cut of the jacket and hairstyle. Right now, the problem is it's so bland.



I can already tell this is going to be a better Zee than the one in JLD. These days her best characterization seem to be in guest spots : Young Justice (the comic), Detective Comics, Wonder Woman: Agent of Peace, etc.

She back to guerilla again eh like her early appearances. Kinda hope for costume change as her renaissance moment like the new 52 superhero outfit

Wow. Ram V is such a lazy writer.
Now we get no explanation for why Zee didn't tell her secret beforehand.
I thought there would be a reason to why she'd endanger her team by hiding such crucial info from them but nope, she did so because Ram V thought it would be a cool twist.

"I've suffered more than others" statement makes Zee look like a total ass.

Also Diana's back now so what did Zee do during her time as team leader besides being a huge liability?

I think it supposed that JL#70 and JL#71 is out first before the annual if not because the delay. Kinda hoping the next writer could develop her as Ram V too early to out

Diana on JLD continues to be fascinating. When stepping outside of the realm of Greek Gods, she really is a fish out of water.

Yeah, unless there is a better explanation in the Annual, my head canon is that the UDM was subtley influencing her mind through her subconscious.
