3rd-ed. Gail Simone would be a great choice for a Zatanna series.

So, for the latest YJ episode, Zee still doesn't get all that much more to do but they at least go into her backstory thorugh Zatara's narration and we see her as a child growing up and we even get to see Sindella.

Also seems like the most common depiction of her iconic costume is that it was originally what she wore as her father's magician's assistant before she continued wearing it to honor him. I think I've seen it used that way 3-4 times.

Basically it seems like she was just a normal, human, woman who Zatara neglected along with Zatanna to play Superhero and eventually she died of cancer. We only see her in slideshows.

Hopefully this episode of Young Justice set up moments for Zatanna in the grand finale of her arc. Suprised it was Klarion the Witch Bus as the unlikely ally. Guess Phantom Stranger reinforcements is spread thin so at least the battle with Child is more tight focused to select few characters.

Nikola Čižmešija is pretty excited for the Batman-Zatanna team up story. Seeing his previous tweets, I think I can hoping for dynamic flowing battle for Zatanna
