I just assumed that was a proud of her smirk, that someone like Superman respects her to such an extent. I wouldn't think after everything Constantine would even try anything like be a leader again.

Also appreciated that scene with Batman being all "don't hurt my childhood friend", nice touch.

I didn't like Constantine's smirk. He has made jokes in the past about Zatanna being the leader of JLD.

And that scene between Etrigan and Batman was unnecessary. Zee doesn't need Batman to tell Etrigan to respect her.

I really hope the movie is more of a superhero movie than a horror film like Keanu Reeves Constantine.

I don't want her to be an exorcist or anything related to mordern day horror.

The way Emerald talked about it in a recent interview made me feel she was gonna make it seriously intense and related to witchcraft like in VVitch.

I was hoping for a Hellboy and the Golden Army kinda movie.

The smirk was not directed at Zee's becoming team leader. It was directed at Kal-El, because that's Constantine's opinion of a straight-arrow like Supes. He finds the whole Superman ethos to be smirk-worthy.

Idk what effects of Rebirth event to everyone but Its look like The Rebirth resetting everyone and make them forget about their past ? especially their character development at New 52?

Nevertheless She is seen leading the Seven Soldiers at Sideway issue and her self confidence issue is kinda back. But I believe Ram V will make her growth based on my observations at QnA at Reddit post of him.
