Question: does Z draw more fetishism than other characters?
Somebody above made a comment about writers giving Z relationships as a form of self-insert, and she does seem to have a faster-revolving dude-door than most other characters. Yes, most of her costumes have been (and are) sexually provocative, but no more so than several other female superheroes (markedly less so than some).
Does she get depicted enticingly more than other characters? If so, why?
I guess there's some foundational basis there since even in her first appearance her main iconic look is pretty much a "sexy version" of a standard magician outfit. But I wouldn't say she gets drawn like that more than any other DC female character, it just it happens a lot with other female DC characters.
Though I'd say just about every notable female heroine at DC has some some relationships that could be accused of "self-insert" or being "passed around/revolving door" on the part of creators.
Constantine and Batman for Zatanna
Superman and Batman for Wonder Woman.
Batman and other members of the Bat-family for Barbara Gordon.
Batman shows up in a lot of these for some reason...
The other female superheroes wear tight-fitting Spandex as their crime-fighting costume. Zatanna wears skimpy, alluring costumes as part of her everyday persona. Hence, the appeal to fan-art.

If you add Nick Necro, I think I can add Jeff Sloane, her manager back then at Silver Age era.
I think her playful and flirtatious personality and the nature of showmanship add incentives for the artist to draw her alluringly. But then again its a general thing among Superheroines
