I would say the weird Omissions is neither Miguel O'Hara nor Sam Alexander get stories.
Considering Sam is on the cover, this just another kick in the teeth for our pal Nova.

Was Sam the only character on the cover who didn't get a story?

Sadly, yes. And I, too, am disappointed at the lack of a Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099 story, since he was the first Spider-Man of Latin heritage, even if his stories take place a century in the future. Funny enough, depending on whether or not Miles's Spider-Man also existed in the backstory of 2099, could find Miguel as Spider-Man taking some inspiration from him as well. Oh, and speaking of disappointments, Anya Corazon co-featuring with Miles was all right, but I'd have rather she got a story of her own in there. Maybe next time . . .

Haven't picked this up, but this definitely sounds like a real missed opportunity.

The story with Anya was extremely disappointing imo.

They just sit and talk, but there's absolutely nothing unique about them being the protagonists. They could have easily use any other latino characters and it would be the same.

Very disappointing that this was the very first they had any sort of interaction in comics and it wasn't a particularly interesting story.

It definitely feels like the Miles and Anya story would be better if the Miles/Anya were written together more often. I feels a little strange tbh. I remember how Eve Ewing introduced a sort of dynamic between Riri and Miles. It was an interesting way of establishing a different kind of friendship. But it was just a short story included in multiple ones. Also I think years ago back when Miles was in the Ultimate Universe I always thought that Bendis could've introduced Anya as a friend or relative of Miles

    #1 Variant:

Speaking of, did anyone read today's issue?
    spoilers:
Miles saves a little girl from a burning building, but he's then apprehended by Fisk's taskforce.

Miguel's always been ignored specially in regards to his heritage.

Miles was from 1610 and got incorporated into 616 later, not to mention post this we've seen Miguel mention past heroes and he states that Peter was the best of them, Miles wasn't even mentioned IIRC.Miguel came before Miles and they haven't even interacted(which they need to), let his inspiration be Peter.

Hopefully ATSV changes that.Miguel is an amazing character.

I bought voices thing, disappointed.Miles and Anya finally meeting is cool, but I thought they could have done better. The Spider-fam is a such a mess, the execution of "the Order" is disastorous.

Looking forward to the Ben vs Miles issue, it's going to be a good one for Miles. And they will patch things up at the end since they're cool in Devil's Reign.

    Yeah, here's hoping

Also a Spider-men book w/ Peter, Miles and Miguel is something I'd like to see be written

    Not by Bendis though

...no. not only is Shuri's hologram not even projecting her feet, its not even coming from the beads. Im just gonna assume you never heard that phrase used in a positive way(generally in regards to cooking something)

Miles just thinks Shuri "cooked up" a good suit.
