That's what I'm thinking, which seems like a lot if true. Vulture went through all this just to talk to his granddaughter?

Also, did Miles really get hurt that badly? Unless the arrow he got hit with was coated with a sedative or poison.

Maybe he's salty about her dating a Spider-Man?

I also found that a bit strange, all things considered the fight didn't seem too taxing. I mean even last issue I didn't think the arrows alone should been that effective, if one was coated with something it would make sense since Miles has bounced back from much worse before.

Agreed, probably gonna be "how dare you date a Spiderman" stuff.

As for the fight probably laced w/ some chemical

I have long said that he needs his own city. Chicago is right there for the taking. Not having him in New York forces the creative team to get more...creative.

Maybe Tiana hasn't been returning any of Toomes' calls since she found out he murdered a guy.

Absolutely, any locations you thought Miles should move to?

Oh, I remember that one from Saladin Ahmed's contribution to ASM 850 (legacy numbering). And speaking of Tiana, she and Vulture did appear in the prequel novel to Insomniac Games' Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
The spider is always on the hunt.

I'm glad these are filler issues because I don't really care for Tiana at all with her personality which is the definition of a red flag.

Actually, that's what I thought too. Besides, considered how twisted the Vulture is, hiring Taskmaster to kidnap her sounds fitting.

By the way, do you know why the issue was delayed. It was supposed to come out this week.

    Baltimore could be interesting.

PS. I've been watching the Wire too much.

Funny considering she permanently crippled a guy in her first appearance

A lot of books got pushed back due to paper shortages and covid related issues, supposedly.

The Wire was and is great television. "A man got to have a code."

Personally, The Wire is the single greatest TV show ever filmed. Certainly of the modern TV era. Your mileage may vary.

It was ahead of its time.

Starling's always struck me as a "hero" who fights and acts like a villain.
