Marketing synergy

I know why they do it.But it doesn't work and is harmful to the characters.
They can still have them team up and do the clickbait covers that Marvel loves, but don't ruin characters and relations for a quick buck.

We get Gwen and Miles more on covers than we do in actual comics at this point .

I'm assuming their new team up was prematurely canceled when Ghost-spider stopped at #10. It looked like McGuire was going to set up a sort of multiverse doubles match with evil earth-65 Sue Storm + The Maker vs. Miles and Gwen. She talked about it a bit on twitter, but several factors nixed it. Most notably Coates using 1610 Reed for his King in Black series, while also sowing the seeds for some sort of Ultimate Universe revival, Covid-19, and sales of the book in general. I don't think Saladin has too much investment in the pairing or maybe he is occupied trying to elevate Starling a bit. It kinda makes sense for Ahmed to focus spotlight on other characters, ship-wise since, like Kamiles, Gwiles is fairly effortless.

That's interesting. I wasn't sure if McGuire was planning to use Miles at all despite him being on the cover to the first Ghost Spider issue.

I definitely thing the relationship Ahmed is most invested in is Starling.

With Ahmed's stories, the villains seem to always drive the story and I've been enjoying it immensely (I think I've said that a lot). I can't wait for Taskmaster to share his "matchmaking powers" (and maybe we will get Black Ant playing as the Tinker Bell-esque in the story, Taskmaster as Captain Hook and Miles and Tiana as Peter Pan and Wendy)

They are just variant covers-the world is not ending and if you check Amazing SPider-Man that are quite a few of them.

This is just one of the few time we are able to order them on FOC versus discovering them later like all the Miles playing sport covers.

I miss the old suit, but I guess it's nice to know Miles will be relevant to a big street-level event.

Cool. It would be interesting if Miles (616) is mentioned or referenced in anyway.

And hopefully we get to see a proper team-up with Luke and Jessica.

So Kingpin sees Miles as a potential threat to taking over NYC, nice. I assume there will bee tie-in issues starting in December?
