Just guessing, it'd seem a bit weird to get someone who's already writing one spider person to suddenly write for another even if this is only something like an elseworlds story.

Not really. Kelly Thompson's involved too, she writes Black Widow, whose cast includes Spider-Girl. So it looks like both might be writing multiple Spider-Verse heroes (of course, despite the name, Natasha isn't part of the Spider-Man family. Anya definitely is though). Looks like ASM will be rotating writers.

With all this talk about legacy and who should follow his steps if Pete died Miles was brought up.
The comments section in this video perfectly represent how I feel about that and him being Spider-man in general.
I don't really see how him being a spider-man is a positive for him.

He's a known property now, so I think he needs to do the Dick Grayson thing and get a new name to avoid in-universe confusion when both characters are in a book. Just call him Shadow Spider or whatever already. I mean, it'd be confusing for the Bugle to write about both in the same news story, lol

Agreed.
I would love if they gave him a neighbourhood oriented solo.
He is popular enough to work with.
Having him fight street crimelords instead of interdimensional people and clones.
keeping him grounded will bring a lot more people to him who like that stuff.
It's also just plain confusing both in-universe and for solicits etc.
