    Hmm, long shot, but still.

    no more clones.

At the most, have it be another-dimension Miles, like, well, Ultimatum was. I don't see these people as "siblings" the way other readers do. Having exact copies of memories up until their "(2nd) birth" is just creepy. They didn't "earn" any of that.

Check Spider-Verse and Spidermageddon again, pal. Miles DID interacted with Ben and Kaine; and even before arriving to main 616's reality, Miles already knew another clone of Peter, Ultimate Jessica Drew.

Hhhmmmm. Could this also include Ultimate Jessica Drew coming to 616 and reunite with Miles?

The original clone saga sucked, but im not gonna treat it as some boogy man that curses every story with the name. The Original was plagued with a variety of different factors that led to it being bad. As long as the story has a beginning, middle, and end and is allowed to tell it without any hickups it can't possibly ever be as bad as the original story.

Pretty much, and technically, it wasn't even the original Clone Saga, which was in the 1970s after Gwen Stacy died and rather quickly resolved because it was really a story of learning to let go of the past. Ironically, the 90s Clone Saga was the end product of Marvel, or certain people working there at the time, being unwilling to let go of an idealized past, i.e. when the Spider-Man (Peter Parker) they knew and loved was swinging single as opposed to married with a kid on the way, not to mention all the greedy corporates who forced it to continue past the writers' original intended endpoint because it was selling so good at first and the writers themselves just throwing s*** at the wall to see what stuck after a certain point. As long as Saladin Ahmed can begin and finish the story as he intended it, without being interfered with so much by higher-ups or corporate, Miles Morales's Clone Saga will (hopefully) not turn out as bad as Peter Parker's did. However, given that we're coming up on the tenth anniversary of Miles's debut as a character, perhaps Marvel should take some inspiration from Insomniac Games' approach to Miles instead of retreading Peter's stories with him.

Don't worry the original Clone Saga was boring too so you remembered correctly.

This is likely going to be a six-issue arc to fill out the trade.

Even though it's titled Clone Saga, I'm willing to bet that this arc will be more about what exactly is the deal with Assessor.

Definitely could have picked a better time than this. It's also funny that this next arc is a "clone saga" when the arc we just had was Miles facing off against not only a literal clone, but an alternate reality version of himself. We're supposed to get more info soon so we'll see.

I just hope this isn't the only thing they have planned for Miles' anniversary they think is worth advertising.

I hope not too, that would be super disappointing regardless of whether the arc is good or not. Although if it is five or six issues long it would end either the same month or the month after his official anniversary.

Considering that story involved the Ultimate Universe...maybe they should've saved that for the anniversary?

It certainly wouldn't have caused the mass recoiling at its mere announcement like this did, but considering the way that story went it may as well have not involved the Ultimate Universe at all if I'm being honest.
