I love everything about him, especially his strength, intelligence, solitariness, and rugged determination. He and Jean Grey are my favorite comic book characters for very much the same reasons.

Same here. Can you recommend me some Jean Grey in a PM? I'd add he's a romantic (Mark of Zorro) and he can get crippled by emotions. The guy should watch out for himself and needs his friends/brothers/fathers Gordon, Alfred, Robin, Ace and Sasha Bordeaux. Maybe I can relate more to him now than ever at age 39.

He is a darkly and broodingly romantic, which I love. As for Jean comic recommendations, I think you would like the classic The Dark Phoenix Saga, which runs roughly from Uncanny X-Men #’s 129-138.

Also, check out X-Men Origin: Jean Grey #1, which covers her traumatic discovery of her powers. It involves a death over which she grows despondent.

You can also check out a thread I created on Twitter dedicated to the development of her powers in the comics in chronological order and which includes screenshots of pivotal panels and pages. I am currently still working on it.

Jean and Bruce both experienced trauma that awakened fundamental aspects of who they would become. (The Jean stories I’ve recommended above really highlight this.) They are both solitary, though Jean, I would say, is a bit more open and trusting. I suppose this is why I love these two characters so much: the pain and horror they’ve endured has, at times, threatened to overwhelm and take them over, and though they are flawed, they have fought with valiancy for what is right and noble and good. I can relate to the both of them, especially in regards to their personal trials.

Anyway, sorry for the long post and hijacking the thread!

Sending a PM with screenshots of a short Jean story I think you'll like.

When Bruce Wayne realizes his parents are going to die he literally sees us as if we're the force behind his entire life.

After Long Halloween I need to rank the Batman movies again:

    Mask of the Phantasm
    Gotham Knight
    Gotham by Gaslight
    BB Return of the Joker
    DKR
    Batman vs Dracula
    Lego Batman movie
    Sub Zero
    Long Halloween Pt 1

    rest is mediocre

Assault on Arkham is really good but not a Batman movie. Year One is not as great as its source. I'd rather not go into discussing the other two.
