The real answer is it's all to sell comic books. And Merch.

For a big ending to a big run it mostly felt big in page count. I never really felt much of anything reading through this last issue.

Of all the thing resolved I think it worked best for Mcgee.

Could have lived without the ancestor pages though the art looked lovely.

Not much more to write. Didn't hate it, didn't love it.

Yes, that final interaction with McGee and Fixit was cool. It was a sort of closure in itself. And a promise of at least one plot where Joe comes in and saves the day for Jackie.

Won't be too surprised if Ewing considers her the main character of his story. It was her journey from start to finish and even Hulk forgiving Stern could be a parallel for her forgiving Hulk.
    Best comic books I'm reading:
Hellions, Mazebook, Daredevil, TMNT The Last Ronin, Stillwater, Nice House on the Lake, Primordial, Moon Knight, Something is Killing the Children
    Debatable:
Robin, Inferno, The Me You Love in the Dark

You are probably right. I wonder if other writers will use her or if she is to tightly connected to this run.

Walter appeared in Samson's body this issue..

Which is so generic that it didn't need any of the fanfare from "god". It tried so hard to be deep and earnest...but it just wasn't.

    The "Dead Characters":

I think I identified Glenn Talbot, Jim Wilson, Speed Freek, Crackajack Jackson, Clay Quartermain, Filius Omen, Mogul, and Jarella of course...

But who are the other dead Hulk characters?
There are two green monsters (one in armor) and a blonde character with a ... crystal ball...?

    Any guesses?

The green in armor is Trauma from PAD's run. Who is the orange with one eye socket? I recognize him but can't pin him. EDIT: Is it Psyklop? that was the one I thought at first.

So wouldn't Tammuz technically be immortal too instead of a displayed skull? Or maybe there's just not enough of him nearby to properly regenerate?

Guilt Hulk, technically. It's pretty much a personification of Brian, so in some ways it's the anti-Devil Hulk (Banner's "Father figure").

Question about Peter David's Hulk from wayback when.

Right after Hulk leaves the Pantheon, he and Betty try to live in a small town. Hulk works at a garage with a short, bearded guy by the name of Max. From what I recall, Max was pretty receptive to Bruce's life and rather understanding of the stuff he went through.

Was it ever explained how Bruce met Max?
