THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki
also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.
currently following:
- DC: Red Hood: The Hill
- Marvel: TBD
- Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force
"power does not corrupt, power always reveals."
That's a very fair point, but I wonder how cost efficient it is because once you sell a couple of them the wiki is now updated and the book has no purpose, and unlike proper pirate sites there's nothing illegal about parsing those books for information and posting them on a snazzy confluence of text, images and geekery.
Oh god I wrote "snazzy" unironically.
In this world of trendy, evolving internet language I have become the villain.
My students pore over the DC and Marvel Encyclopedias I got like they are holy *%&@ing scripture...
There's something about the tangibility of a printed book. It feels more official. More real, maybe. I dunno.
I think what makes them "special" is that they are short (reading Wiki page of some established character in my opinion is a nightmare) and shows what DC considers "relevant" at this point. If someone said that he wants to get into GL franchise I'd show them those 4 pages before showing any GL related Wiki page.
And sure, people can later update the Wiki with this information, but Wiki will still be less readable than those 4 pages.
