I loved Boodikka! And while I was a little annoyed that she was radically altered to serve the "Alpha Lanterns" story, I got over it because at least she got considerable panel time for a minute.

But then I realized the whole thing was Johns' plot to cull GL's he didn't create/want to use... *sigh*

I might be remembering things wrong, but wasn't Alpha Lanterns Morrison's idea? If I'm not mistaken she was later possessed by Granny Goodness in Final Crisis.

Love Arisia after they aged her up, was a little Scrappy Doo-ish at first. Love Kreon of Tebis, the idea of an Alexander the Great type tactician as a Green Lantern, I liked that too. Jack T. Chance was the 90's Green Lantern crossed with Lobo until I think ParaKyle killed him. Arkiss Chummunk was an old school favorite it hurt my heart when he died. Tomar Re was a tough loss but Tomar Tu replaced him pretty quickly. I also like Torquemada because he was like a magic user type GL. Maybe my all time favorite non Earthling GL besides Arisia might be Hollika Rahn because Green Magic might be my all time favorite Tales of the Green Lantern Corps back up storyline.

Yeah, unfortunately that's what it felt like to me. It's like they realized with Iolande, they don't need another lavender lady GL. I miss Boodikka. Hell, a lot of the older Lanterns don't get used anymore. When's the last time we really saw Arisia or sweet, sweet Chaselon?

I don't know how many new fans DC PTB think they will get by trying to make out of the closet Alan Scott cannon, it's going to cost them at least this one long time JSA fan in general and Alan Scott fan in particular. I tried with Earth 2 ok because it is an alternative universe tale but this if it continues will keep me from purchasing any projects with him and majorly tempers any excitement for this HBO Max GL project I would normally be uber excited for. Funny thing is I haven't seen any evidence that this version of Alan Scott is more commercially viable for DC. The Johns JSA version was one of DC top selling titles. Earth 2 was far from a hit. Then DC has a habit of not giving the fans what they want because I don't get the logic of yet another reboot Legion instead of going back to it's most commercially viable version of the team (the original/retroboot version). Some complain DC is run by the nostalgia crowd but tell that to the Legion and Alan Scott who seem to be suffering for it. Put me in the "Not my Alan (and therefore not my JSA) and not my Legion either" club. Rant generated by rumored upcoming changes at DC.
