Marvel | Spider-Man | X-Men | NEW!! DC Comics | Batman | Superman | Wonder Woman
Usually the best names are those that make reference to something in the character's history or personality. Dick kept Nightwing for so long because it ended up having meaning with his influences from Batman and Superman. Barbara's Oracle name stayed because that was pretty much what she was, a technological Oracle. Cass has always been a little bat. Until some new character development is given to her, I'm afraid we're going to have some difficulty with a new long term name.
Although she already has short term identities with Kasumi, Black Bat, Orphan. I think she had an ex-love interest who called her "Little Bat" at some stage. In the martial art world she is "One Who Is All" but I think that was wiped away when her origin changed from being trained by the League to being an experiment under Mother.
Phantom Bat? Ghost Bat?
If we can't have Black Bat, why not Blackbird?

This was in Batman Black & White #5 within the Nightwing story. Multiple bat family photos with Cass!
What is the canon status of the Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey comic series? Is it Earth Prime or an Elseworld?
For Cass' codename, what about dipping into Chinese folklore? Something like Jian (which is what they refer to things like poltergeists) or Jiangshi (which is what they call their vampires) would work well.
