I would like to see a New Moon Knight of Middle Eastern origin possibly Egyptian to take up the mantle of Moon Knight ?

I think Marvel would be better served using Marc to explore ideas about cultural appropriation. Is it right that he cloaks himself in another culture's iconography? Does his fervent belief in Khonshu make it better, or worse?

There are some potentially meaty story ideas you could mine there. And they don't deal with his mental illness or lack thereof, and thus would be a nice change of pace.

The iconography is of a bygone era of the Egyptian people. There aren't Egyptians worshipping the old gods of the B.C. era.
Modern Egyptians are Muslim(dominantly), Christian or other (where other is not the old gods).

No sane person is getting offended about this "appropriating".

There's actually very little Egyptian iconography in the book. Indeed, the only time there was any was during his tenure with the WCA, and nobody likes that era anyway.

Crescent moons, white cloaks, even the ghost-punching armor... none of it actually reads as Egyptian.

Heck, he doesn't even spell Khonsu correctly.

I dig the Mummy vibe a lot. Fits with the Werewolf by Night rumors too. Maybe Marvel beats Universal at their own Dark Universe game.
