I like it. Not a fan of tiger stripes...to many people already see her as a cat-like character...and she more than that.
She took on the abilities of a dragon to kill a dragon in JLA 80 page. Her counter part in Justice League Adventure also took on the powers of a Dragon to destroy some magic construe created by Morgan Le Fay.

Some of us wait, some of us act.
I agree that Vixen should only channel real, Earth-originated fauna.
How do people feel about her channeling extinct animals like dinosaurs?
She should do that more. She can do cool stuff like channel the durability of an ankylosaurus or the bite force of the T-Rex (who had the strongest bite force of any animal that’s ever lived). And that’s not even getting into the stuff she could pull off by channeling Spinosaurus with the recent discoveries made of the animal.

Oh sure, dinos are animals, and feel more 'real' to me than dragons or unicorns or whatever. (And yeah, I know, it's the DCU, not the real world, and dragons and unicorns *are* real, there, but I like her based in more science-y Earth animals.)
And definitely no to the alien animals. That's just super-lazy as the writer can A) use all sorts of crazy powers by mining decades of DC history and B) the writer can flat out make up anything they want and say some alien animal somewhere (that's never been mentioned before now) can do it. "I want Vixen to have the power to throw lightning! The Lightning Beasts of Korbal can... I want Vixen to create earthquakes like an Earthquake Beast! Does the Sun-Eater count as a creature?"
Not to mention she could use the speed of an Paratarsotomus Macropalpis which is the fastest animal on earth (relative to body size). If you apply their speed to the size to a person, they would be able to run 1,300 mph.
The speed of Paratarsotomus Macropalpis, the strength of a rhinoceros beetle, the strike force of a mantis shrimp, and the weight of a blue whale...
bye bye bad guy.
Edit: I had to whip out the old brain and do math, Vixen is 5' 9", so if she had the equivalent speed of the Paratarsotomus Macropalpis, she could run 1,260 mph. That's just the exact approximation of her speed.

It’s crazy that some of the smallest animals in the world give Vixen the most power to completely obliterate her enemies.

For when my rants on the forums just aren’t enough: https://thevindicativevordan.tumblr.com/
she's also shapeshifted into a wolf and has been able to copy the superpowers of Superman and trained archery skills of Green Arrow by "tapping into the ability of human beings". suffice to say, not every writer properly understands Vixen's powers. sometimes it's best to just try and ignore these weird applications.
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki
also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

"power does not corrupt, power always reveals."
Yeah, there's a notion in some segments of fandom that a character with a fifty year history and dozens of different writers is capable of every feat they've ever been shown doing (even if some of them were by writers who had no idea what their powers were, or are from times when the character was possessed or temporarily powered-up beyond their normal range...).
I don't mind that some past feats of a character might have been exaggerated, or one-offs, or just flat-out misrepresented / misremembered / inflated in the retelling.
Even Superman can't do everything he's ever done before, or else he'd be super-hypnotizing entire cities into forgetting stuff and the like (from back in the golden age, when he seemed to get a new super-this or super-that every year).
