I think the way her powers are depicted in 'Truth & Justice' indicates how she could manifest spider silk, venom, poison or even stink bombs. lol

It can be her fingers or anywhere honestly. Her powers would probably allow a hole to appear on her skin and shoot away. Or like LordAllMighty said, as an energy construct.

I would either choose it to be out of her fingers, mouth, palms or wrist (sorry spidey)

when it comes to all of these obscure, esoteric powers of assorted fauna, does Mari even intrinsically know about these abilities? Would she have to look them up on Google first, or does she have to just think about the creature, then "all" of its abilities pop up in her memory?

I don't think it's ever been made explicitly clear but the best direction would probably be to go with Mari having to do the research. for one, it adds a level of competence on her part if she as a character has to be knowledgeable and do the creative thinking to be effective with her power/the totem. plus, that element of skill or knowhow allows for variety if they ever decide to look back on past (or look forward to future) warriors in the Vixen line, allowing for interesting juxtapositions for Mari and an added level of depth to her mythology.

plus it's gives writers an out if they fudge an animal's capabilities due to popular misconceptions or ignorance of the time.

I know Vixen's appeared in live-action, but my question is if she ever appeared in a live-action blockbuster film how would they portray her powers?

Do they give a CGI animal aura when she activates or throughout the ability? Can she make animal-like constructs around her? Or none of the above she just kicks butt without all that?

I think CGI animal auras are limiting (like they were on the CW shows "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow") because TV shows and movies will most likely only show CGI animal auras that can easily be recognized, which means they'll have Vixen mimicking the same animals over and over again. CGI animal auras will not help the general audience from knowing the difference between varieties of snakes, dogs, spiders, insects, fish, etc.

I think would TV shows and movies should do is have Vixen do voice overs where she is thinking about the animals she is using, that way she can name specific species or sub species of animals she is using, or telling you she is using a Black Widow spider or a Brown Recluse spider or even a Tarantula. They used to do that in the classic "MacGyver" TV show...sometimes MacGyver would have voiceovers so that we knew exactly what MacGyver was thinking when he was trying to get out of jams. Other times characters would ask other characters "What is he doing?" and then the other character would explain exactly what MacGyver was building, concocting, etc. Other times they would just flat out ask him what he was doing, and he would just tell them. I think Vixen should be approached the same way.

Or maybe they could also use subtitles and flash on the screen something like "Seagull + Otter + Praying Mantis" or something like that whenever they show Vixen using her powers. Maybe a combination of voice overs and subtitles? Maybe they could save money on budgets if they did something like this.

I think the more details we get about the animals she is mimicking, the better.

I would love to see her manifest the animals abilities as an aura but I also like this too.
