Changes like these aren't made haphazardly. Maybe they did some focus group testing and the original powers turned the audience they were going for off? Maybe making a giant energy fist instead of a giant actual fist while the rest of you remains the same size (which does look kind of creepy) was a way to salvage it.

Feige does it again! Everyone wants to blame Mister Fantastic but the real reason The powers changed was Feige doesn't like the Inhumans.

That would explain an origin change, but not the actual powers.

Sana Amanat really set herself up with that statement.... and the funny thing is that she said that on a documentary for Disney+, and now they're releasing a Kamala show on the same platform that contradicts that point. I wonder what were her feelings on the show, since we know she was actively working on it too.

Why would Sana be actively working on it? She might have been consulted but there is no way she was active in any capacity in the show's decision making? The platform might be the same but was that Marvel docu even a Marvel Studio production or Marvel Entertainment?

Probably the same way she felt when the character was being created for comics. Nothing at all LOL. She is talking about how Willow felt. Sana is the person who didn't really do anything but passes anyway because it was a group project. The only thing that matters is that she got her name on the project and she can keep moving up the ladder. All the heavy lifting was done by Willow anyway. I would say think of Willow as the Bill Finger to Sana's Bob Kane but at least Bob Kane came up with the idea of Batman...Sana didn't even do that.

Well, wasn't Sana's idea "we'd like to have a teenage Muslim superhero", and then it was Willow and the first artist who figured out her powers, civilian identity, etc? The costume was designed by a different artist though... but wouldn't the idea to call Kamala and her book "Ms. Marvel" have come from editorial, i.e. Sana? Isn't that one of the last things they locked down when creating her?

Maybe I was too harsh. It was work for hire. Just telling someone what you want and letting someone build it should be enough for a co creator credit.

Sana was actively involved in the show. We know that because of the sizzle released last year; she was even involved in the casting process.

Still falls under consulting being involved in the casting process.

She is literally credited as executive producer on the video I just posted, not just ''consultant''. And the way she speaks on the video.... I definitely get the vibe she was hands-on on the project. When they show the group shot of directors and producers, including Kevin Feige, breaking the news to Iman Vellani that she got cast, Sana's there too.
