Nah, considering the director's first movie Little Woods is about female relationship I highly doubt Marvel will have that conflict last long

Ok so show of hands after seeing all the “Evidence”, who here thinks Ms. Marvel will actually have different powers in the show than her powers in the comic and will Ms. Marvel fans be in an uproar about the change if it’s true?
I feel like since filming is done this is a good conversation to have before the TRUE trailer comes out! ^^

There's an Asian heroes special Marvel Voices one-shot in August, and Kamala is in it. She'll be drawn by Mashal Ahmed. They haven't revealed the writer.
