Rachel will be in Excalibur #18
Ommadon: “By summoning all the dark powers I will infest the spirit of man So that he uses his science and logic to destroy himself. Greed and avarice shall prevail, and those who do not hear my words shall pay the price. I'll teach man to use his machines, I'll show him what distorted science can give birth to. I'll teach him to fly like a fairy, and I'll give him the ultimate answer to all his science can ask. And the world will be free for my magic again.”
The thing is, given that Rachel has definitively been shown to be attracted to men and her being attracted to women is subtext, turning her lesbian would be bi-erasure and I really, really hope Leah Williams doesn't do that because I'm certain she understands that would affect a lot of Rachel's fans personally (nobody likes being told what you are doesn't exist). Plus, it would really diminish the tragedy of Rachel's love story with Franklin Richards.

Oh yeah, I really felt like that one devalued Rachel's origin as well. I mean, look at this panel:

The melodrama was so...ugh!
Of course they love him more than you Rachel...by Scott's own admission, they had no effin' clue who you were and what they meant to you... until that very moment. "rolls eyes"
Lord Ewing *Praise His name! Uplift Him in song!* Your divine works will be remembered and glorified in worship for all eternity. Amen!

Reminds me of a stage magician.

To be fair, with how Scott talks about Rachel in the rest of that story and in subsequent stories, it's clear that he pretty much accepted Rachel right away. Maybe that's because he knew her before, or maybe it's because since he never had a real family growing up, he reaches out wherever he can.
