Canonically, I'm pretty sure he didn't become a full-on fitness nut until preparing to replace Garrett, but there's nothing I recall saying he didn't play sports before.

Bette Kane (former tennis pro) was in Gar's miniseries where there another green-animal-form-taking being running around. I don't think Cissie ever met Gar - she left Young Justice and Gar and the others of her generation didn't interact much until Graduation Day when they became Teen Titans, as far as I know. So I'd guess this is Bette.

EDIT: Definitely Bette Kane - it's from Beast Boy, issue #1 (cover date January 2000).

I've seen websites, both major publications and nerd sites, list Lex Luthor as a "Batman villain."

Well, don't forget, Lex was trying to buy up Gotham City towards the end of No Man's Land until Bruce stopped that, so maybe that caused the thinking.

Now that I think on it, when Roy Thomas retold Dr. Mid-Nite's origin, he made a point of indicating that (before the blinding) the good Doc was already in great shape because he played so much tennis.
